Mark
Bando's newest hardcover book, left, is a reprinting of his first
two books 'The 101st Airborne At Normandy' and 'The 101st Airborne
From Holland to Hitler's Eagle's Nest'. Both books went out of print
several years ago. This book features about seven new maps which
were not in the original works, plus about 40 new vintage photos,
which did not appear in his original books. In addition to selected
stories from Mark's interviews with over 900 WW2 survivors of the
WW2 101st, the book contains literally hundreds of vintage photos,
most of which are not available elsewhere.
Right, Mark Bando's other most recent hardcover book , about the
101st Airborne during WWII. There are also some great B&W shots
made from the original negatives of the 506th photographer, fabulous
in detail, which are also unknown to the public. |

Mark
Bando's first book, left, and his second book , right, about the
101st Airborne during WWII. Mark's knowledge of the 101st is outstanding!
He is willing to help others in their quest for information about
the veterans and units that fought in this elite division. Mark
has also be of great help to us in 506th PIR with information
about the unit's uniforms and detailed history. We would like to
thank Mark for his efforts in helping us get the facts right so
as to better portray these great fighting unit's, and are looking
forward to reading more from him in his furture projects and our
never ending questions for the details! |

time to time to keep it fresh , so items in this book my not be
seen on his web site in the furture. Pick up a copy from Mark's

Mark
Bando's contribution to the 2nd Armored division and
the break-out into France, of which the "HELL ON WHEELS"
division took an active roll in, losing tanks and men at every
bend in the road and village and town along it's way !
Mark has been labeled a 'borderline Revisionist' by others
for some of his written accounts! Read more on TRIGGER
TIME.
As with his other books, Mark tells it like it was, from the men
who were there, and from the research he has done!!
An exceptional book!! Controversial by some!! |
